- Description
- This notice is being publicized in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 5.101 requiring Contracting Officers to disseminate information for proposed contract actions expected to exceed $25,000. Further in accordance with FAR 6.302-1 it is the intent of the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) to place an order TanMar Communications, LLC. The intended order is for a quantity of 6 1.2 Meter Patriot Fly-Away KU Band VSAT Packages. The VSAT Package is proprietary to TanMar Communications. The Drug Enforcement Agency already utilizes the VSAT Package so use of any similar product would result in unacceptable delays in fulfilling the agency's requirements and duplication costs to the government that cannot be expected to be recovered through competition. As a result TanMar Communications is the only responsible source to provide the package for the provision of contingency and emergency communications.
