Description
The above referenced solicitation is hereby amended to respond to a technical question submitted. The due date for quotations, September 2, 2009 at 3:30 PM Eastern Time, remains unchanged. The following question and response are hereby provided: QUESTION: The issue relates to the specification for analysis of “dried real air” and the inclusion of this analysis for acceptance. In order… to comply with the specification, and to use it as acceptance criteria, the concentrations of the target components need to be defined. While the concentrations of the major air components are reasonably known, for a given air sample the concentrations of the trace components, carbon tetrachloride, Freon 11, and Freon 12, are unknown, and may not have a positive response. This lack of a positive response would not be due to lack of performance of the analyzer, but rather indicates that the component of interest isn’t present. An independent confirmation of the presence of the trace components would be required. Should the test be done with a synthetic air mixture of known concentration to confirm the positive performance of system. A second issue is confirming that “dried” means that the water concentration will be below 10 ppb. RESPONSE: No change to specifications.
