- Recovery Action: This modification is issued to obligate American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) of 2009 funds. The funding will be distributed between the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL) ($350K) and the Great Lakes Bioenergy Research Center (GLBRC) - University of Wisconsin ($3.3M). The GLBRC was competitively awarded under a previous Department of Energy solicitation. Additional funding for sustainability activities will include research in: soil carbon, water quality, direct greenhouse emissions, land use change forecasting, and woody biomass production. The Recovery Act Project title is B3 Fundamental Research in Key Program Areas (Project Code 2004020). DUNS # 032987476 Rationale for using other than a fixed price and/or competitive award: Original contract competed. Battelle is the Management and Operating Contractor for the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL).
