Description
The National Park Service (NPS) is seeking currently certified 8(a) firms for the construction of a pig exclusionary fence at Pinnacles National Monument located in San Benito County, California. The project consists of establishing a fence route corridor 8-10 feet wide and approximately 19,000 feet long clear of vegetation (brush), and constructing approximately 47,232 linear feet (8.95 miles) of pigproof fence on the east side of Pinnacles National Monument. The fence construction also includes installation of three cattle guards and numerous gates and creek crossings. All construction materials will be provided by the NPS and delivered by helicopter to staging areas within the project boundaries. This acquisition will result in a firm-fixed priced contract. The project range is estimated between $100,000 and $250,000 with a performance period not to exceed 260 days after receipt of a notice to proceed. The Request for Proposal (RFP) will be available via electronic commerce only and can be accessed on or after Monday, September 14, 2009 at either http://www.fbo.gov or directly through the DOI National Business Center site at http://ideasec.nbc.gov. The due date for receipt of proposals will be 30 days after the date of issuance of the RFP. The contractor is responsible for periodically checking the website for any Amendments that may be issued prior to the closing date of the RFP. This acquisition is 100% set-aside for currently certified 8(a) firms, with a bonafide business located within the geographical area serviced by SBA Fresno District Office, SBA Sacramento District Office, or SBA San Francisco District Office. Interested parties may explore the Pinnacles National Monument website (if desired) to acquaint themselves with the general area or view park maps at http://www.nps.gov/PINN. This project is being funded through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA), and the contractor must meet all reporting requirements as described in FAR 52.204-11.
