Description
SOW-PACS The National Institutes of Health intends to award a firm fixed price contract to Carestream Health Inc., 150 Verona Street, Rochester, NY 14608. The requirement is to upgrade to the V10.1 Carestream Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) to the existing PACS located in the Department of Radiology and Imaging Sciences. This project is funded through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA) and is subject to the reporting requirements of the act. Carestream Health Inc. is the only known source that can upgrade components to an existing PACS. The upgrade involves proprietary software and hardware manufactured by Carestream and can only be serviced and upgraded by Carestream. The upgrade must interface with all the devices and systems currently supported by the existing PACS and NIH security and confidentiality specifications. The intended procurement will be classified under North American Industry Classification System Code 334517, with an employee size standard of 500. Carestream Inc is the only source known to the Office of Purchasing and Contracts (OPC) that can meet the above the above requirements. The Period of Performance to be completed 90 days from date of award. If there are any responsible contractors who meet the capabilities cited to perform the requirement, they may submit experience, capabilities, and qualifications as outlined in the statement of work that will be considered by the NIH. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all information received within the three (3) days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon reasons to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purposes of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
