Description
The U.S. Census Bureau intends to procure lodging in the Washington Metropolitan Area for a Local Employment Dynamics (LED) Annual Workshop on March 10-12, 2010. Lodging is required for Fifty-Five (55) participants as follows: 8 sleeping rooms on Tuesday, March 9, 2010; 55 sleeping rooms with 20 call-ins on Wednesday, March 10; 55 sleeping rooms with 20 call-ins on Thursday, March 11, and 5 sleeping rooms on Friday, March 12. Most participants will arrive on Wednesday, March 10, and depart on Friday, March 12. Provide meeting rooms on Thursday, March 11 (all day) and Friday, March 12, (half day) as follows: one (1) General Session (Crescent Rounds of 6 for 200, Head Table for 6), 2 Breakouts (40 Conference Style) and 1 exhibit room with 8 tables, live feed from the general session room. A 24-hour hold is required on all meeting rooms. Provide Coffee/Tea in morning, AM refresh, and PM break for 55 participants in/near meeting rooms, as appropriate. When considering size of meeting rooms, please allow for audio visual equipment as well. The accommodations must have the following: AV equipment and services, Public Transportation Accessibility, and Full Service Restaurant. The U.S. Census Bureau reserves the right to conduct an on-site inspection of offered facilities. Award will be made on a best value basis in accordance with the Simplified Acquisition Procedures. Lodging rate must be equal to or less than Government per diem rate. All responsible sources that can meet the requirements and provide items as listed above may respond to this solicitation by submitting cost and technical proposal, hotel contract, and descriptive literature to Lisa Safewright via email to lisa.r.safewright@census.gov or fax to 301 763-4624 or 301-763-4149. Questions may also be sent via email. No phone calls will be honored. Award will be made by Government Purchase Order. Closing date for receipt of proposals is September 29, 2009.
