- The Army Contracting Command, Joint Munitions & Lethality ContractingCenter, Joint Armaments Center, on behalf of the US Army Armament Research Development and Engineering Center (ARDEC), Propulsion Pilot Processes Branch, Energetics Producibility & Manufacturing Technology Division, Munition Engineering Technology Center, Picatinny Arsenal, NJ 07806-5000, is conducting market research to locate firms interested in entering into Blanket Purchase Agreements (BPAs) with the US Government. Interested sources should be able to manufacture, repair and supply parts, tooling and hardware for high speed portable or permanent deluge equipment, fire suppression system and sprinkler equipment. Requirements for High Speed Portable Deluge are described in 3-21, paragraph (s) of DA PAM 385-64: The portable deluge system, as a minimum, will consists of Two detectors Two nozzles A pressurized tank with at least 100 gallons of water Response time must not exceed 100 milliseconds Should be tied into a backup water supply The requirements for fire prevention, protection and suppression are described in DA PAM 385-64 Ammunition and Explosives Safety Standards, and in AMC R 385-100 Safety Manual documents. Requirements for Deluge systems for explosives operations are described in section 3-21 of DA PAM 385-64. Equipment for replacement or addition to permanent deluge systems must be compatible with existing system(s). Requirements for Automatic sprinkler systems are described in section 3-20 of DA PAM 385-64. The Government may enter into one or multiple Blanket Purchase Agreements as a result of this notice. Firms/companies are invited to indicate their interests and capabilities by providing specifications, brochures, manuals, reports, information pertaining to experience on previous contracts for similar supplies/services and other technical data. All information is to be submitted via e-mail at no cost or obligation to the Government; information provided will not be returned. All responses shall be in the English Language. Responses shall also indicate the size of the business entity; large or small business. Please provide name of your firm, address, POC, phone/fax number, and email address. TELEPHONE INQUIRIES WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. The Government will accept written questions by email only. In addition, interested firms are encouraged to submit their capabilities / qualification data No LATER THAN September 11, 2009. This is a Sources Sought Notice and submissions will be used for informational and planning purposes only. In addition, the Government does not intend to pay for any information provided under this notice. The Government is not obligated to notify respondents of the results of this survey.
