- Solicitation Westinghouse Anniston (WA) is soliciting cost proposals for a vendor to perform the following scope of work: Electrical Safety Training for ANCDF personnel at the ANCDF Training Facility located in downtown Anniston, AL. WA reserves the right not to award a subcontract after receipt of proposals. The subcontract number assigned to this solicitation is WA-FY09-AR-456 and must be added to the Description section of your liability insurance certificate. STATEMENT OF WORK Provide all labor, materials, tools, equipment and supervision required to perform the below scope. ANCDF would like the vendor to conduct the following courses onsite at the ANCDF Training Facility: NFPA 70E: Electrical fundamentals  Grounding requirements  Over-current protection  Single and three-phase systems  Electrical requirements for portable equipment  Electrical requirements for fixed equipment  Ground fault circuit interrupters  Hazardous locations  Electrical safety-related work practices  Dielectric personal protective equipment  Temporary wiring  Portable generators  Branch circuits NFPA 70E: Electrical Safety in the Workplace  Protection from arc flashes and blasts  PPE in order to protect against arc flashes and blasts  Safe work environment for employees  Introduction to NFPA 70E and OSHA  The basic concepts of NFPA 70E 1. Design systems for safety 2. Use of properly related insulated tools 3. Use of PPE, including flame retardant clothing  General requirements for electrical safety related work practices  Model safety program  Working on or near live parts 1. Energized electrical work permits 2. Approach boundaries to live parts 3. Flash hazard analysis 4. Other precautions for personnel activities 5. Personal and other protective equipment  Safety related maintenance requirements  Safety requirements for special equipment  Installation safety requirements OTI 3095 provides the following benefits:  Detect electrical hazards, determine which OSHA standards apply, and achive the appropriate abatement  Identify the proper use of safety electrical test equipment  Understand the effects of electrical currents on the human body with respect to voltage, current path and the duration of exposure  Know OSHA electrical standards  Connect the National Electrical Code to OSHA's electrical standards
