Description
The work done under this contract consists of furnishing all services, labor, equipment, materials and transportation necessary to acquire digital color and infrared orthophotography and LiDAR data for the following four project areas: Eureka (27.8 sq mi), Santa Rosa (122.7 sq mi), Fairfield (41.1 sq mi), and South San Jose (38.7 sq mi) regions. The LiDAR data and orthophotography will be used to locate and verify wetlands. The aerial photography will be flown in late March to early April when water will be at maximum levels for the wetlands in the study areas. The color and infrared aerial photography will be flown at a scale necessary to produce imagery with a map scale of one inch equals 100 feet (1" = 100'). The final digital orthophotography will have a 6 inch pixel resolution. LiDAR will be flown during September when the wetlands in the study areas will mostly be dry. Since many of these areas contain seasonally dry, low profile wetlands, a large number of LiDAR points will be needed. The LiDAR surveys will be delivered with an average of 16 postings per square meter.
