Description

The VA Medical Center, Togus, Maine intends to negotiate aCommercial Item sole source contract with Aroostook Mental HealthServices, Inc., 43 Hatch Drive, Caribou, ME 04736-2161. Only oneresponsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agencyrequirements. A justification for other than full and open competitionhas been prepared in support of this acquisition. This procurement isto obtain Substance Abuse Services under the authority of FAR 6.303-1.The Government intends to award a firm, fixed-price contract for theSubstance Abuse Services. Interested persons may identify theirinterest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit aproposal. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. Theapplicable NAICS code is 621420 and applicable size standard is $10.0M.All proposals received by 12:00 noon EST on September 4, 2009 will beconsidered by the Government. A determination by the Government not tocompete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice issolely within the discretion of the Government. Information receivedwill be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether toconduct a competitive procurement.
