Description
RECOVERY ACT, THIS PROCUREMENT IS A 100% SET-ASIDE FORSERVICE-DISABLED VETERAN-OWNED SMALL BUSINESS (SDVOSB) FIRMS. The VA Maryland Health Care System at the VA Medical Center, PerryPoint, Maryland is seeking services of a qualified Service-DisabledVeteran Owned Small Business to provide all supervision, labor,materials, equipment and connections for the construction/installationmaterials, equipment, and supervision required for Project #R512-09-304Recovery Act Replace Windows at Building 4R located at VA MarylandHealth Care System at the Perry Point VA Medical Center Perry Point, MD21902 (Cecil County). Work includes but is not limited to renovations (including demolition ofwindows, window air conditioners, through wall air conditioners,suspended ceilings, fluorescent light fixtures, ductwork, ductworkinsulation, duct diffusers, ductwork chase of various typical buildingmaterials, electrical wiring, conduit, disconnects, devices, steelframing), general building construction (including installation of newwindows, split system cooling units in rooms indicated with outsidecondenser on concrete housekeeping pad with heavy duty metal framedbase, partition walls, suspended ceiling, interior fluorescent lighting,electrical breakers, conduit, wiring, and devices, refrigerant tubingwith insulation and conduit covering, condensate piping, ductwork anddiffusers, CMU block, cement stucco finishing, lightweight metalframing, gypsum board, painting, etc This work shall be done in accordance with contract specifications,scope of work, drawings and/or schematics provided by VA and contractor,and sections of the VA Master Construction Specifications. A scheduledsite visit time and date will be in the Solicitation package. The NAICS Code for this procurement is 238150. To be considered a smallbusiness under this code, the SBA standard size must not exceed $14.0million. The construction cost range for this project is between$100,000 and $250,000. The solicitation package for IFB#VA-245-09-RA-0222 is estimated to be posted on Fed Biz Opps, which canbe accessed at http://www.fedbizopps.gov, on or about July 15, 2009.The Government will not provide paper copies of the solicitation.Bidders will be responsible for downloading their own copy of thesolicitation package, drawings, and subsequent amendments, if any. Thesolicitation will be issued pursuant to the authority of Public Law109-461, 38 U.S.C. 8127 and 8128. Telephone, written, facsimile, ore-mail requests for the solicitation will NOT be honored. Potential bidders MUST registers at Fed Biz Opps (www.fedbizopps.gov) inorder to receive notifications and/or changes to the solicitation.Potential bidders are responsible for monitoring this site for therelease of the solicitation package and any other pertinent information.The Interested Vendors List (IVL) will be activated and may be accessedand printed from the Fed Biz Opps website. The bid opening will be on or about August 17, 2009. The bid-openingwill take place at the Perry Point VA Medical Center in Perry Point, MD21902. The building and room will be specified in the solicitation.The deadline for receipt of questions is 10 calendar days prior to bidopening.
