Description
Existing furniture to be moved and where Specific items of furniture Statement of Work This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for the removal and replacement of existing furniture and purchase and installation of new furniture prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will NOT be issued. This is a Request for Quotation (RFQ) and the solicitation number is F2V3039219AG01. The 6th Contracting Squadron, MacDill AFB, Florida requires the removal and replacement of furniture at the Deployed Unit Complex at MacDill AFB, FL. Site visit will be held on 9 September 09 at 1:00pm at the Deployed Unit Complex, Building 71. Please e-mail confirmation of attendance by 7 September 09 at 12:00pm. SITE VISIT IS MANDATORY. Quote shall be valid until 30 Sep 2009. DESCRIPTION OF REQUIREMENT: CLIN 0001: Removal and replacement of existing furniture and purchase and installation of new furniture (see attached document for specifics on individual furniture pieces) The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-33 effective 15 Jul 2009, DFAR DCN 20090729 and AFFAR AFAC 2009-0803. This requirement is set-aside 100% for small business. The North American Industry Classification System code (NAICS) is 337211 and the size standard is 500 employees. BASIS FOR AWARD: Award will be made to the lowest priced offeror that is determined to be responsive to the Request for Quotation. DELIVERY ADDRESS: Furniture will be delivered to Deployed Unit Complex, Building 71, MacDill AFB, FL. The following Air Force Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (AFFARS) clause applies and is incorporated in full texts: AFFARS 5352.201-9101, Ombudsman: (a) An ombudsman has been appointed to hear and facilitate the resolution of concerns from offerors, potential offerors, and others for this acquisition. When requested, the ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to the source of the concern. The existence of the ombudsman does not affect the authority of the program manager, contracting officer, or source selection official. Further, the ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals, the source selection process, or the adjudication or protests or formal contract disputes. The ombudsman may refer the party to another official who can resolve the concern. (b) Before consulting with an ombudsman, interested parties must first address their concerns, issues, disagreements, and/or recommendations to the contracting officer for resolution. Consulting an ombudsman does not alter or postpone the timelines for any other processes (e.g., agency level bid protests, GAO bid protests, requests for debriefings, employee-employer actions, contests of OMB Circular A-76 competition performance decisions). (c) If resolution cannot be made by the contracting officer, concerned parties may contact the Center/MAJCOM ombudsman Mr. Michael R. Concerns, issues, disagreement, and recommendations that cannot be resolved at the MAJCOM/DRU level, may be brought by the concerned party for further consideration to the Air Force ombudsman, Associate Deputy Assistant Secretary (ADAS) (Contracting), SAF/ACQ, facsimile number (703) 588-1067. (d) The ombudsman has no authority to render a decision that binds the agency. (e) Do not contact the ombudsman to request copies of the solicitation, verify offer due date, or clarify technical requirements. Such inquiries shall be directed to the Contracting Officer.
