Description
RECOVERY--THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE, NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. A SOLICITATION DOCUMENT WILL NOT BE ISSUED AND PROPOSALS WILL NOT BE REQUESTED. The US Army Corps of Engineers, Jacksonville District intends to negotiate and award a contract on a non-competitive basis in accordance with FAR 6.302-1 with Measutronics Corporation, PO Box 5800, Lakeland, FL 33807. This is a follow-on Licenses Renewal for existing Applanix POSPac MMS Software (specialized software). The Hydrographic Survey Branch of the Jacksonville District currently owns and operates two Applanix POS MV's and one POS Wavemaster. These units provide accurate inertial compensation measurements which are crucial to surveying needs. The purchase of a different software package would result in excessive cost to replace hardware systems due to compatibility issues. The software is capable of post-processing POSPac data logged by the Applanix POS MV or POS Wavemaster IMU aboard hydrographic surveying vessels. Software is also capable of producing a SBET (smoothed best estimate of trajectory) file utilizing raw inertial and GNSS data collected by the Applanix POS MV in a format readable by Hypack's SBMax and MBMax processing tools. It is also capable of importing RINEX data files from active CORS stations around the US to aid in creating a virtual reference network for accurate positioning techniques and include a one-year maintenance for GNSS aided inertial processing tools, standard software warranty, service packs, training, and software upgrades when available. Interested concerns may identify their interest and submit a capability statement for the Applanix POSPac MMS Software Licenses that demonstrates their ability to provide the requirement. The resulting contract will be firm fixed price and the NAICS Code is 334511, and the size standard is 750 employees. Inquiries must be in writing. All questions should be directed to Lelani Banks, Contract Specialist, lelani.u.banks@usace.army.mil. Response due date 8 Sep 2009, 0800hrs EST. If no affirmative responses are received by 0800 am Eastern Time on 8 Sep 2009, the Contracting officer will proceed to issue a contract to Measutronics Corporation.
