Description
SOURCES SOUGHT: THIS IS ONLY A SURVEY OF THE MARKET TO DETERMINE IF THERE ARE POTENTIAL CONTRACTORS THAT CAN SATISFY THE FOLLOWING REQUIREMENT: The U.S. Coast Guard is considering whether or not to set aside an acquisition for HUBZone concerns, Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business Concerns (SDVOSB) or Small Business Concerns. The estimated value of this procurement is between $250,000 and $500,000. The applicable North American Industry Class System (NAICS) 2007 code is 238220. The small business size standard is a three-year average annual gross receipt of $14.0 million. Bid, payment and performance bonds are required. The solicitation in its entirety and any amendments will be available at no charge online at http://www.fbo.gov under the solicitation number. This project is to provide all labor, materials, tools, equipment and supervision necessary for the renovation of armory ventilation at U.S. Coast Guard Industrial Support Command Miami, 100 Mac Arthur Causeway, Miami Beach, FL 33139. The performance period will be 120 calendar days. Proposed scope of work includes but is not limited to: disassemble and properly dispose of lead contaminated ductwork, replace ducts, fans and filter, increase supply air to 19,000 cfm to provide 63 fpm air flow and provide a dual filter system with variable vane inlets to maintain constant pressure differential and thus constant flow as filters fill. Provide pressure differential meters and increase exhaust fans capacity to 22,800 cfm to maintain negative air pressure and provide negative air pressure alarm. All interior work shall be accomplished by a lead certified contractor. At the present time, this acquisition is expected to be issued as a Small Business set aside. However, in accordance with FAR 19.1303, if your firm is HUBZone certified or 19.1403 if your firm is an SDVOSB and intends to submit an offer on this acquisition, please respond by e-mail to Deborah.J.Boydston@uscg.mil with “Sources Sought for Solicitation Number HSCG82-10-B-PMVA06” in the subject line or by fax (305) 278-6696. Please reference the above solicitation number in all correspondence pertaining to this project. Your response should include the following: (a) a positive statement of your intent to submit a bid for this solicitation as a prime contractor; (b) a statement identifying your certified small business designation; (c)evidence of experience in work similar in type and scope to include contract numbers, project titles, dollar amounts, points of contact and telephone numbers; and (d) provide evidence of bonding capability to the maximum magnitude of the project, to include both single and aggregate totals. Contractors are reminded that should this acquisition become a HUBZone or SDVOSB Small Business set aside, FAR 52.219-3, Notice of Total HUBZone Set-Aside or 52.219-27, Notice of Total Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business Set-Aside, will apply. Your response is required by September 18, 2009. All of the above must be submitted in sufficient detail for a decision to be made on a HUBZone or Service-Disabled Veteran-owned Small Business set aside. A decision on whether this will be pursued as a HUBZone or SDVOSB small business set aside, or a Small Business set aside, will be posted on the website at http://www.fbo.gov.
