- Description
- The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to place a General Service Agency (GSA) order to Bauer Compressors, 1328 Azalea Garden Road, Norfolk, VA 23502, under GSA Contract Number GS-07F-9711G. The purpose of this GSA order is to procure 41 Bauer Model JRII-E1 4500 three staged air cooled splash lubrication high pressure compressors. The JRII-E1 compressor is the only compressor on the NAVSEA letter 10560 Serial Number 00C32/30632 approved equipment list and on the GSA schedule that can provide breathing quality air required to refill the Mobile Re-fill Station (MRS) III. The JRII-E1 is also the only compressor on the GSA schedule with a valve compatible with the MRS III refilling station. Market research conducted by the NAVAIR PMA 202 Aircrew Endurance program team has continually shown that there is not a similar item available.
