Description
Under the authority of FAR 6, subpart 6.302-3, the Department of Veteran Affairs Medical Center Augusta, GA (VISN 7), contemplates negotiation of a sole source procurement with University of Miami, Miller School of Medicine, Department of Psychiatry, 1695 N.W. 9th Avenue, Miami, FL 33136. The University of Miami will provide research and development services for web intervention for OIF-OEF Veterans with clinical of subclinical mental health problems associated with post-traumatic stress disorder, major depressive disorder, and/or substance abuse at the VA Medical Center Charleston. The Performance Period will be September 21, 2009 through September 20, 2010 with two one option years for renewal. The NAICS Code for this procurement is 541720 with a standard size $7.0 million. This Notice of Intent is NOT a request for competitive proposals. However, the Government will consider all proposals received within 3 days after publication of this synopsis. Interest parties may identify their interest and capability by submitting literature, detailing how their products/services meet VA requirements to the Contracting Officer or by fax at 478-274-5609. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
