- The Mission and Installation Contracting Command-West, Presidio of Monterey has a requirement for plenum modification, and furnace and damper replacement at the West Los Angeles U.S. Army Reserve Center (USARC). The Contractor shall furnish all plant, labor, materials, tools, equipment, and supervision necessary to remove and replace the existing HVAC devices at the reserve center. Work on this project will include but is not limited to the removal of asbestos containing duct wrap from the existing furnace flu piping, removal of galvanized flu duct from the Primary and Secondary furnaces, removal of the electrical conduits attached to the Inline furnace units, cleaning of the duct and system; installation of 6 new duct dampers in the zone branch ducting; installation of 6 new cold deck dampers; and installation of new fresh air intake dampers. Full details will be provided in the solicitation. All work is to be completed in accordance with the Scope of Work, Drawings, manufacturers recommendations, solicitation, amendments and Resulting Contract. Solicitation number W9124N-09-T-0212 will be available on or about 11 September 2009. MANDATORY SITE VISIT is scheduled for Tuesday, 15 September 2009 at 09:30 am (PST). Site Visit location is: The parking lot of Holderman Hall, 1250 Federal Avenue, Los Angeles, CA. The primary Site Visit POC is Mr. Cliff Canty; cliff.canty@usar.army.mil. Alternate Site Visit POC: Kent Jackson 562-795-2098 or cell 562-235-9967. Only contractors that sign in during the mandatory site visit will be considered for this acquisition. Proposals are due Monday, 21 September 2009 at 4:30 pm (PST). This acquisition is a 100 percent set aside for Small HUB Zone Business Concerns only. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this project is 238220 with a size standard of $14.0 M. Performance period is 120 calendar days after issuance of the Notice to Proceed. Estimated magnitude for this project is between $25,000.00 and $100,000.00. Payment and performance bonds are required for this project and must be submitted within 15 days after contract award. The contract will be a single award, Firm-Fixed-Price type contract. Solicitation number W9124N-09-T-0212 will be available on or about 11 September 2009 on the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) website (http://www.fbo.gov) and the Army Single Face to Industry (AFSI) website (https://acquisition.army.mil/asfi/).
