Description

The VA Eastern Colorado Healthcare System (ECHCS) located in Denver, CO intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Cepheid for a GeneXpert Infinity, 24 Testing Site, Fully Automated System, Part Number GXINFINITY48-24. Cepheid has exclusive rights for manufacturing and distributing the GeneXpert System, GeneXpert cartridges and diagnostic software for use with the Cepheid Invitro Diagnostic Xpert cartridges for the performance of GBS, EV, C.diff, MRSA, MRSA/SA Skin and Soft Tissue (SSTI) and MRSA/SA Blood Culture (BC) plus BCR-ABL RUO, VRE RUO, MDR TB RUO, and MRSA/SA Nares RUO. This procurement is being conducted in accordance with FAR 6.302 - Only one responsible source and no other services will satisfy this requirement. This notice of intent is not for competitive quotes. No solicitation document is available and telephone requests will not be accepted. However, any laboratory that believes it can meet the requirements may give written notification to the Contracting Officer within six (6) calendar days from the date of publication of this notice.
