Description
U.S. Army Installation Management Command Contract Security Guard (CSG) to Department of the Army Security Guard (DASG) Conversion. In order to meet the mandate of the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) to reduce Contract Security Guards (CSG) on DOD installations and to meet in-sourcing targets outlined in the Secretary of Defenses Resource Management Directive (RMD) 802, the U.S. Army Installation Management Command (IMCOM) is converting its installation access control CSG in the United States to Department of the Army Security Guards (DASG). Twenty-nine installations will convert NLT 30 September 2010 (end date for contracts), with the remaining 17 installations converting in NLT 26 July 2011 (end date for contracts) as follows: FY2010 Installations: Fort Drum, Natick SSC, Picatinny Arsenal, West Point, Fort Carson, Dugway Proving Ground, Fort Huachuca, White Sands Missile Range, Yuma Proving Ground, Fort Greely, Fort Irwin, Fort Lewis, Yakima Training Center, Presidio of Monterey, Schofield Barracks, Fort Shafter, Tripler Army Medical Center, Fort Wainwright, Wheeler Army Airfield, Fort Campbell, Fort Knox, Fort Leavenworth, Fort Leonard Wood, Fort Riley, Detroit Arsenal, Fort Bliss, Fort Polk, Redstone Arsenal, Fort Sill. This will result in the elimination of four CSG contracts and the reduction of one to a single installation (Hood). FY2011 Installations: Adelphi Laboratory Center, Fort Belvoir, Fort Benning, Fort Bragg, Fort Detrick, Forest Glenn Annex of Walter Reed Army Medical Center (WRAMC), Fort Gordon, Fort Jackson, Fort Lee, Fort Meade, Fort Myer, Fort McNair, Henderson Hall, Fort Stewart, Hunter Army Airfield, Fort Hood, Fort Rucker. This will result in the reduction of two contracts. Fort Rucker will maintain the CSG contract for airfield guards through the Training and Doctrine Command, and IMCOM will continue the CSG contracts at its Base Realignment and Closure (BRAC) installations (Forts McPherson, Gillem, Monmouth, Monroe and WRAMC) through 15 September 2011, although there may be a gradual reduction in guard numbers as the closure date draws closer. Security Guard contracts for installations designated as future Joint Bases under Air Force control (Forts Eustis, Richardson and Sam Houston) will expire on 30 September 2010. Point of contact for this announcment is Mrs. Terry Kohler, Physical Security Branch, IMCOM. terry.kohler@us.army.mil.
