- This synopsis is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) page located at http://www.eps.gov and the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line (NECO) site located at http://www.neco.navy.mil. While it is understood that FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable. Please feel free to use either site to access information posted by the Navy Sea Systems Command. The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division, intends to purchase the following BladeCenter Servers and Processors manufactured by IBM, 8123 S Hardy Dr, Tempe, AZ 85284-1106. This is a specific make and model requirement required to maintain consistency and compatibility with existing equipment. Therefore this equipment must be the IBM products specified below. However, Authorized Resellers are encouraged to provide quotations. A commercial solicitation will follow this synopsis providing full configuration details of each Item listed, to include component part numbers, descriptions and quantities. The standard commercial warranty shall apply, as well as the specified Hard Drive Retention Service. The standard commercial warranty is 3 year, Monday through Friday with next business day response. These items will be acquired utilizing Simplified Acquisition Procedures in accordance with FAR Part 13. A solicitation will follow this announcement in one week.
