Description

The Naval Oceanographic Office, Stennis Space Center, MS intends to issue a sole source award to GEOTEK LTD, Daventry GBR under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c) and in accordance with FAR 6.302-1. The requirement is for the purchase of Acoustics Rolling Contact Transducer, quantity 1. Transducers are integral part and major component of the GEOTEK MSCL Sound Velocimeter used by NAVOCEANO's Shipboard Geological Analysis System. These transducers are used to collect compressional (P-wave) velocity measurements in marine sediment core samples. The anticipated contract value is $25,500 and estimated delivery is 8-12 weeks. The resulting purchase order will be a firm fixed price order. The applicable NAICS is 334519 with a business size of 500. This synopsis is published for informational purposes only and is not a request for competitive offers. Any inquiries concerning this requirement are to be submitted in writing to the Contracting Officer. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed action based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. See Note 22.
