- The Mission Installation Contracting Center - East at Fort McPherson, GA intends to procure on a sole source basis with Science Application International Corporation (SAIC) 2900 Sabre Street, Suite 800 Virginia Beach, VA 23452. The NACIS code for this requirement is 236220 and the business size is no more than 500 employees. The product to be purchased is The Expandable Shelter System (ESS). This is a deployable container that matches an ISO 20 container footprint in the un-deployed position with an exterior height of 86. When expanded, the shelter occupies an approximately area of 20 by 213. The shelter includes a thermostat controlled AC/heating unit and a 20 KW generator capable of operating the AC/heating unit, lights, and ancillary equipment within the shelter. The shelter contains integral lights, outlets, alarm system and is wired for a computer Local Area Network (LAN) capability. Individual shelters are designed to allow the alarm system and LAN capability to be connected between adjacent shelters. The component parts of the ESS will be brand new and are fully warranted free from defects for 5 years from delivery. The Government believes that only one responsible source can provide the product that will satisfy the Governments requirements. Any firm that believes it can furnish the product described above may submit a capability statement via written notification to the Contracting Officer. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the above requirements. No multiple awards will ne made. All responses received within three working (3) days of the date of this publication (by 3:30 pm, Monday, September 14, 2009) for this advertisement will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to complete this proposed action based on responses to this notice is solely with the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
