Description

The proposed contract action is for a commercial requirement; which the Naval Medical Center San Diego intends to solicit this requirement from a single source to Johnson & Johnson Healthcare Systems Inc. under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b). This is a COMBINED Presolicitation Synopsis/Solicitation Notice for commercial items, prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received in a timely manner after date of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The solicitation number N00259-09-T-0559 is issued as a Request For Quotation (RFQ). The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this acquisition is 811219. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. All interested bidders shall submit quotations electronically by email to melisa.aguon@med.navy.mil, attention Melisa Aguon and are due on or before 16 September 2009, 1:00PM Eastern Standard Time to be considered responsive. The requirement is for FY 2010. Per the Sole Source point of contact K. W., RN Clinical Consultant Professional Services Advanced Sterilization Products does not go through a third party and further authenticates the Sole Source procurement action.
