- TRIAL, ADOPTION, USAGE and DIFFUSION of SOCIAL MEDIA: The solicitation number is FA8601-09-T-0104. The NAICS Code is 541720. The size standard is 7M. The government intends to solicit and negotiate with one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1) and FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(iii). The proposed source is Wright State University, Department of Management and Entrepreneurship, Dayton, OH. The purchase is for services of academic experts to investigate how, why and under what conditions, modern "social media" information technology causes people to be influenced. These academic experts must have extensive experience in researching information system and organizational behavior, influence tactics, and social networks. This acquisition is for AFIT/ENV. Such experts also must have academic expertise in these following areas: publishing adoption, diffusion, and assimilation of information systems articles in top-tier, peer-reviewed, academic information technology and management journals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, any quotation received within five (5) days of the issuance of this notice will be considered by the government. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Any quotations should be e-mailed to jennifer.adams2@wpafb.af.mil or faxed to Jennifer Adams, 88 CONS/PKBB, and 937-257-3926 no later than 17 Sep 2009.
