Description
Responses to Questions Question: Since this bus has non-standard specifications can we provide a similar bus for 60 days while this bus is being built? Answer: Negative. We want to present the new bus to the boss, and not a temporary bus. Question: Will we need to supply and install the Air Force logo? If yes can we get a photo of the logo? Answer: Yes. Once awarded, the customer will supply a photo (with color and size) to the company. They will also contact the contractor about where to place the logo. Question: The specification sheet calls for modifications after delivery, what would that entail? Answer: At the present time, there is no plan to modify the bus. If we decide to modify the bus, we will notify the contractor to discuss any modification agreement. Question: Do you have a floor plan for the bus (what you're preferring it look like)? Answer: As stated in the specification documents, the floor plan we are looking for is perimeter executive seating (21 seats) 11 on left side and 10 on right side (cooler cabinet will take up the first seat in front of the closet). The contractor should send us "their" pictures, as indicated in the specification documents. Question: Based on the chassis (full air suspension), is this a flat nosed bus with a rear engine? Answer: This is not a flat nosed bus with a rear engine. This should be a mini-bus (civilian term). Question: Who is reasonable for normal maintenance? Answer: The Government will pay for maintenance that is not covered under warranty (to included but not limited to: routine oil changes or vehicle inspection). If the vehicle does require maintenance (to included but not limited to: air conditioner work, battery replacement, or engine problems), then we do need to know where to take the vehicle for repair and the contractor must direct/guide the Government on which facility is to be used. Question: Does the customer desire a roof mounted "RV" style a/c unit which would be powered by a diesel generator or just the regular engine belt driven a/c compressors to power transit style a/c evaporators. The engine belt driven system will only cool with the engine running. The generator powered a/c will be able to run with the bus parked/engine off. Answer: A diesel generator with a roof mounted "RV" style a/c unit is required.
