Description
RECOVERY - THIS ACTION IS FUNDED BY THE RECOVERY ACT. THIS NOTICE IS PROVIDED FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY. This opportunity is available only to SSA's existing agreement with Fax Plus, Inc., of Arlington, VA, under the General Services Administration Federal Supply Schedule Contract Number GS-35F-0487K. SSA competitively awarded Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) Number SS00-08-40034 to Fax Plus Inc., against their GSA FSS contract, for facsimile equipment, installation, configuration, and training services in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation Section 8.405-3. SSA intends to issue a firm fixed-price Call Order to its existing BPA to purchase additional facsimile machines and related support. SSA will acquire facsimile machines, including the Panafax UF-8000, installation, and training. As part of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, SSA received funding for processing disability and retirement workloads. These facsimile machines will support the Office of Disability, Adjudication, and Review's (ODAR) Video Teleconferencing (VTC) initiative to increase productivity and meet the growing demand to conduct business electronically. In addition to internal SSA communication, fax machines will allow ODAR and disability claimants to share time-sensitive information when e-mail or over-night delivery is neither practical nor available. SSA requires these facsimile machines at locations throughout the continental United States. This notice is for INFORMATION ONLY; Contractors should not respond.
