Description

Intent to Award a Sole Source task order This is not a request for proposal or a request for quote. The United States General Services Administration (GSA), Federal Acquisition Service (FAS), Acquisition Operations Division (AOD), San Francisco, CA in accordance with FAR Subpart 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, and FAR Subpart 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures; intends to negotiate a sole source procurement with Metastorm Federal Inc. for maintenance on the Metastorm PM4 managed file transfer software. On a previous procurement, Metastorm Federal’s PM4 managed file transfer software was chosen as the best value vendor after a competitive procurement process. Currently, no other source is capable of providing the necessary maintenance. The purchase of other competing file transfer software would require multiple high priced upgrades by multiple agencies, to make then compatible. The determination not to compete this requirement is made at the sole discretion of the Contracting Officer in accordance with FAR 13.106-1(b).
