The work will consist of 3 days of work at the volcano with the field crew to be picked up in Anchorage in the morning and returned each evening. The work and flights will be weather dependent but would occur sometime in the block September 10 through October 10 2009. The work will entail landing at unprepared landing sites in mountainous terrain including ridge tops and glaciers on the flanks of the volcano and in the drainages below the volcano. The work will include but is not limited to air observation and landing on volcanic deposits produced during the 2009 eruption of Mt. Redoubt. The contract schedule includes a price for; daily availability of the aircraft/crew, price per flight hour for non-volcanic, and volcanic activity missions. Pricing includes wages for pilots, and all additional crew, overhead, general and administrative expenses and profit (16.601 (e) (1)), and the base and all options are pre-priced. The contract award amounts are based on an estimated amount of flight hours multiplied by the contractors flight and availability rate, with not to exceed maximums.
