Description
PWS The United States Air Force 711 Human Performance Systems Wing (711 HPW/PKA), plans to acquire services for Hyperbaric Maintenance to be performed on the hyperbaric chambers located at Wilford Hall Medical Center, Lackland AFB, TX and Brooks-City Base TX. This is a sole source requirement in accordance with FAR 6.302-1. Authority: 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), Justification: Supplies (or Services) required are available from only one or a limited number of responsible source(s) and no other type of supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The proposed contract action is for supplies and services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source: Rohmann Services, 2349 S WW White Road, San Antonio, TX 78222. The period of performance will be one year from 1 Oct 09 to 30 Sep 10. The contractor shall perform the following services: Periodic inspection of compressors, maintain library of hyperbaric branches' equipment manuals, perform duties as PMEL coordinator, and perform plumbing in hyperbaric maintenance as required. Maintain, repair, and inspect Class A, B, and C hyperbaric chambers. Maintain, repairs and inspect hyperbaric chamber fire suppression systems. Maintain, repair, and inspect the setup, operation and safety of Class A, B, and C chambers. Maintain, repair/inspect intercom systems, patient entertainment system, television monitors, cameras and (digital) video recording equipment. Install, maintain, repair and inspect new medical and non-medical equipment. Maintain, repair, and inspect wheelchairs and gurneys for inside chamber use. Design and build equipment for use in hyperbaric chambers. Perform chamber crew chief and chamber operator duties. Perform general maintenance for the entire hyperbaric facility; and conduct research and submit requests to equipment/supply custodians for new and replacement equipment and maintain bench stock item inventory.
