Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs intends to issue a sole source purchase order to Edstrom Industries for the following: Edstrom Industries Automated Animal Drinking Water System (AWS) for Research Laboratory Vivarium and the Installation of the system. If providing other than brand name please submit specification data. All items will be installed at VA Medical Center Memphis, 1030 Jefferson Ave. Memphis, TN 38104 within 8 weeks from notification of award. Product Specifications for 11 rooms: Ultrafilter Water Purification System,.02Um, E.I. Model CP-634 Central Proportioner for chlorination, Specification SP2108, Stainless Steel piping system originating at the central proportioner and termination at (2) Pressure Reducing Stations, Pressure Reducing Stations Model 8550-197, Interconnect stations each equipped with stainless steel quick disconnect couplings, Stainless Steel Solenoid Flush Valves, AWS Controller panel with power supply to monitor pressure reducing stations for high and low pressure, system leak and control automated flush valves, Edstrom Watchdog Server capable of real time readings, alarm notification (e-mail, paging/text messaging alarm acknowledgement, system wide alarm bell graphical indicator, reports full audit trail of all user operations, server software in accordance with specification SP21169, color laser jet printer, 17 flat screen monitor, UPS for power protection and 10 minute emergency power, additional Watchdog Web Concurrent user Licenses, Automated Chlor-Flush Station Model 2494-305, Automated Recoil Hose Flush Station Model 5480-301 to be locate in the cage wash area to flush recoil hoses and Chlorine Injector Station Model 6574-302 to provide chlorination for flushing water, Portable Sanitizer Specification SP2080, operation and maintenance manuals, on-site operational instruction, and preventive maintenance visits for one year. Any firm that believes it can provide the supplies is invited to submit written notification to the contracting officer within 7 calendar days form the date of publication of this notice. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the firms ability to provide the items. Information can be sent to martin.ellison@va.gov as either a pdf or MS office attachment. No telephone request will be accepted. Responses received will be evaluated; however a determination by the government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. If no responses are received, VISN 9 will proceed with the sole source procurement.
