Description
This attachment contains the REGISTERED PARTICIPANTS FOR THE INDUSTRY DAY and the Government's responses to the Questions received. Synopsis: The Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), has a requirement for Information Technology (IT) engineering services for the Office of Computer Information Office (OCIO) to support the ICE mission. ICE personnel are located over 600 sites in the continental United States (CONUS) and outside the continental United States (OCONUS). These engineering services support the mission of the Office of Investigations (OI) Federal Protective Services (FPS), Office of the Principal Legal Advisor (OPLA), Detention and Removal (DR), Office of Intelligence (Intel) Office of Professional Responsibility (OPR) and administrative support programs and other special projects. The NAICS code for this procurement is 541512 - up to $25M per year. The projected date for the issuance of the solicitation is on or about October 16, 2009. The Solicitation will be available on the Federal Business Opportunity (FedBizOpps) site only. ICE intends to procure on an unrestrictive basis in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) Part 15. The government anticipates awarding a single-award indefinite delivery - indefinite quantity (IDIQ) to the offering party providing the best value to the Government. The performance period of any resultant contract(s) will be a three (3) base year and seven (7) one year options. The anticipated award date is November 30, 2009. DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES: The services will support the Engineering Division's across its branches: Network Engineering Design Branch, Systems Engineering Branch and Network Implementation Branch. The services will be provided primarily at contractor's office and warehouse facility. Attached hereto is a draft statement of work. Please provide any questions you may have re: draft statement of work, no later than September 2, 2009. Government anticipates responding no later than September 4, 2009. Bidder's Conference (Industry Day): The Office of Computer Information Officer (OCIO) is sponsoring an unclassified Bidder's Conference (Industry Day) conducted by the Engineering Division Branches. The purpose of this event is to provide industry of program requirements, competition timeline, and to provide a Question and Answer and networking opportunity. The one day conference will be held on 11 September, 2009 from 9 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Julie Myers Conference Center, Potomac Center North (PCN), Room: 1021, 500 12th Street, S.W., Washington, D.C. 20250. Doors will be open at 8:00 AM Local Time. - Seating capacity 150 persons. Industry Day Registration : Registration will be conducted in advance. Attendees are required to identify their nationality and their positions within the company they represent. This is a no-fee event and seating is limited. Attendees must present a CURRENT photo ID (driver's license, military ID, company ID or passport) matching the attendee information submitted via the Registration Form to gain entry into the event. Attendees are encouraged to arrive early to permit sufficient time for check-in. LIMIT: 2 INDIVIDUALS PER COMPANY. REGISTRATION FOR THE INDUSTRY DAY ON SEPTEMBER 11, 2009 IS CLOSED. Late registration and "walk-in" requests will not be permitted. The attached MS Excel spreadsheet contains the following information: 1. Confirmed registered attendees for the Industry Day 2. The Government's responses to Questions received. Please be mindful that several questions are still in need of the Government's response This announcement is not a contract, request for proposal, a promise to contract, or a commitment of any kind on the part of the Government. ICE will not assume liability for costs incurred by an attendee or for travel expenses or marketing efforts; therefore, attendee cost in response to this notice is not considered an allowable direct charge to the Government.
