Description
Q&A- VA-248-09-RP-0579 The following are the questions made by Contractors in relation to the Solicitation mantioned above; 1) Are all the units actually in good working conditions? Yes 2) Does the solicitation include the replacement of the damaged filters? Yes, includes the replacement of damaged filters as well as filters that are clogged or saturated. 3) Does the Preventive Maintenance Program is the same as the test that is listed in the Scope of Work? The Preventive Maintenance Program is limited to the exhaust fan and related components. 4)Challenge Test consists only of filter integrity test or we need to perform other type of test? Tests for filter integrity and filter performance must be conducted. 5) Do the Bid include the cost of the filter and the labor of replacement or just the replacement labor? Include the cost of filter and the labor of replacement. 6) Actually, is there any preventive maintenance program or contract? (Lighting vacuum systems, nitrogen system). There is a monthly preventive maintenance program in place. 7) Does each fume hood have its own exhaust stack or are they coupled with other fume hoods? 8) Are any of these BSC ducted to the outside? Each hood has a dedicated system (ductwork, exhaust fan, stack). 9) If the fume hoos, BSC or other airflow equipment does not meet certification paramenters and does not comply for whatever reason, and repairs are required for the equipment, are we suppose to take that into consideration in our prices? Yes. 10) Are we suppose to set a value for spare parts, exhaust motors for repairs in our proposal? 11) Are we to set a money value for the replacement of carbon filters for ductless fume hoods or HEPA and pre-filters for the BSC or any other equipment that may require these? Yes. 12) Is this Solicitation set aside for SDVOSB? Yes 13) Can you please provide the list of participants on the site visit? Please go to FEDBIZOPSS. The site will give you the names of all participants. 14) What is the range of the project? Please submit proposal accordingly with the SOW.
