Description
The Corps of Engineers has a need for a contract to reroof Various Buildings, Montgomery Locks and Dam, New Cumberland Locks and Dam, Pike Island Locks and Dam and Hannibal Locks and Dam, Ohio River, Pennsylvania, West Virginia and Ohio. The Work is located at Montgomery Locks and Dam, PA; New Cumberland Locks and Dam and Hannibal Locks and Dam, OH; Pike Island Locks and Dam WV. Work involves complete removal and replacement of all roofing materials as follows: Replacement of observation deck surface on the Landwall Building at Montgomery Locks and Dam. Work shall include complete removal of deck membrane system and application of a non-skid, fluid applied elastomeric traffic-bearing coating suitable for use as a walking surface. Complete removal and replacement of all roofing materials on 4 to 7 buildings at each Lock and Dam facility on the Ohio River at Montgomery, New Cumberland, Pike Island and Hannibal Locks and Dams. All roofs are flat roofs consisting of a mix of built-up and membrane roofing systems, both ballasted and non-ballasted. Work shall include complete removal of all existing roofing materials, flashing and other items, and installing new modified bitumen roofing system, complete with all required flashing, and other appurtenant work. The period of performance will be 180 calendar days. Magnitude of the project is between $500,000 to $1,000,000. This procurement will be 100% set-aside for SBA Certified HUBZone firms (certification as HUBZone concern is made through the US Small Business Administration). The Invitation for Bid (IFB) will be issued approximately July 28, 2009 on-line only through the Federal Business Opportunities website; therefore, requests for hardcopies of the specifications and drawings will not be honored. Requests must be made by registering for this solicitation at http://www.fedbizopps.gov. Once registered, vendors, plan rooms and printing companies will be able to download the solicitation and drawings on or after the above issuance date.
