Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared IAW the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This is a request for quotation (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-36 and DFARs Change Notice (DCN) 20090825. NAICS is 333999 with a small business size standard of 500 employees. *This acquisition is a 100% small business set-aside. Award will be made to the lowest priced, technically acceptable offer that meets the salient characteristics listed below as described in FAR clause 52.211-6 - Brand Name or Equal. 45 CONS/LGCB, Patrick Air Force Base, FL, 32925 is seeking to purchase Brand Name or Equal commercial items manufactured and designed by Handling Systems, Inc., as follows: Folding Mid Section/Tail Support for Blackhawk H-60 with screw jacks, Part # AVI100308, 1 EA; Air Frame Support for Blackhawk H-60 with leveling jacks, Part # AVI011804, 1 EA. Minimum Salient Characteristic: Airframe support leveling cradle jacks used to support the aircraft during maintenance on the aircraft landing gear systems. The first jack will support the forward part of the airframe and the second one will support the tail of the aircraft. ITEM DESCRIPTION OF MATERIAL OR SERVICES TO BE PURCHASED QUANTITY UNIT 0001-AA Folding Mid-Section/Tail Support for Blackhawk with Screw Jacks. 1 EA The second support is used for the tail of the airframe during landing gear repairs. The tail support should be designed to fit the tail of the aircraft with screw down floor locks. The top cradle section should be hinged to fold over approximately 110 inches. The folding section should have lanyards and ball and keeper type lock pins to prevent loss. The capacity of the stand should be 20,000 lbs and should be 33 inches wide and 44.9 inches long and 31.50 inches tall to the center of the bottom of the cradle with a curved support saddle to match up with the bottom of the aircraft. The construction of this stand should be made of durable aluminum material to prevent corrosion. The top edge should be covered with a thick rubber pad and the base of the unit should have a skid pad to protect the floors. 0002-AA Air Frame Support for Blackhawk with Leveling Jacks 1 EA The forward support should be 72 inches wide and 54 inches deep and adjustable to 27 inches tall and be transportable with swivel castors. The ends of the forward support should be equipped with screw down leveling jacks and rated to lift 2 tons each able to support 5 tons each. The construction of the equipment should have an aluminum frame to reduce corrosion and the top edge of the frame should be covered with hard felt or rubber to protect the airframe. Preferred Delivery: Earliest Possible Delivery Date but Not Later than 30 Days After Receipt of Order. Place of delivery, performance, and acceptance is FOB Destination, Hangar 751, Redstone Road, Patrick AFB, FL 32925.
