Description
RECOVERY--The work consists of furnishing all labor, materials and equipment necessary to restore a stretch of Mill Brook located on U.S Army Corps of Engineers land in Salisbury, New Hampshire. The contract work will be done in two parts (tasks). The first task will be to prepare an entrance road and material stockpile area for the material to be used in the stream restoration work. The second task will be to do the stream restoration work after material has been stockpiled. The work of both tasks is summarized as follows: 1) The contractor shall furnish and install 220 tons of crushed gravel, a 15 diameter 20 long pvc culvert, 750 of barbed wire fence, and cut and remove two 8 diameter trees. This work is to provide an entrance road into a pasture off Mill Road in Salisbury, New Hampshire. The entrance road will be used under a separate contract to deliver material for remediation work in Mill Brook. 2) From July 12th July 16th 2010 the contractor shall furnish two front end loaders with operators, and two excavators with operators, to perform stream restoration at four reaches of stream to include but not limited to installation of longitudinal peaked stone toe protections with associated upstream, midpoint and end keys, single stone bendway weirs, traffic control stones with associated locked logs in stream, bed diversity stones, backfill eroded areas and install woody vegetation. Work will be completed at the direction of a Corps of Engineers Research Hydraulic Engineer. The estimated cost of this procurement is between $25,000 and $100,000. This solicitation will be available on or about 29 September 2009 and will be available for downloading by accessing the Federal Business Opportunities website (http://www.fbo.gov) which links to the FedTeds website (see below). Prospective contractors are required to self register their firm on the Internet to receive this solicitation. Registration instructions are available on the internet at https://www.fedteds.gov. Amendments, if any, will be available at this Internet site. Neither telephonic, mailed nor faxed requests will be accepted. Registrants are responsible for the accuracy of the information on the registration list. This procurement is UNRESTRICED. The applicable NAICS code is 237990 with a Small Business Size Standard of $33,500,000. All responsible sources may submit a quotation which will be considered by the New England District.
