Description
ATTENTION! BID DUE DATE FOR THIS SOLICITATION HAS CHANGED FROM 15 SEPTEMBER 2009 TO 17 SEPTEMBER 2009, 2:00 PM CDT. AMENDMENT 0006 WILL BE ISSUED BY 8:00 CDT ON 15 SEPTEMBER 2009. On or about 17 August 2009, this office will issue Invitations for Bid for Proposals for design and construction of the REPAIR/RENOVATE BUILDING 475 (PRIDE BUILDING), PN QJVF090052, MINOT AFB, ND. The solicitation will close on or about 17 September 2009. This solicitation is RESTRICTED TO SMALL BUSINESS PARTICIPATION. A site visit is scheduled on 26 August 2009 at 0900 hours (local time). Contractors interested in inspecting the site should contact the Minot AFB Resident Office, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, P.O. Box 8022, 5 Shawnee Road, Minot AFB, ND 58704 Telephone: (701-727-6127; Fax: (701) 727-6128; e-mail: Trev.Albright@usace.army.mil. All inquiries for registration should be made a minimum of 7 work days in advance of the scheduled site visit to coordinate base access and place of assembly. DO NOT submit requests for plans and specifications to the site visit personnel listed above. See Obtaining Solicitation Documents below. _______________________________________________________________________________ Project Description (Approx. quantities) Repair and upgrade approximately 70,000 square feet (3 floor areas) of existing Bldg 475 (Pride Bldg), including but not limited to wall demolition, wall construction, wall repair, paint, carpet installation, door installation, asbestos abatement, renovation of SCIF Area, and any necessary utility repairs or upgrades. The estimated construction cost of this project is between 2.5 and 5 million dollars. _______________________________________________________________________________ The Contractor will be required to commence work within 10 days after notice to proceed and complete the design, design reviews and construction work within 540 calendar days after receipt of Notice to Proceed. Provisions will be included for liquidated damages in case of failure to complete the work in the time allowed. Performance and payment bonds will be required. Bonding documents including the power of attorney shall bear an original signature by an officer of the surety. Representations and certifications are required to be updated annually as a minimum to keep information current, accurate and complete. The electronic annual representations and certifications are effective until one year from date of submission or update to ORCA.
