Description
QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS RECOVERY SOLICITATION RML-RFQ-9011 Q: Are there co-housing requirements? A: There are no co-housing requirements. Q: What is the range the device will need to transmit? A: The rooms are 350 sq feet and will house 16 non human primates. The primates will be housed in standard primate 3' x 3' caging. There should be no cross interference. Q: Are there battery life requirements? A: Battery life should be 3-4 months. Q: What other species model must this system be compatible with? A: This system is being purchased for use in non-human primate models. Q: Are the numbers of transmitters on the quote correct, 16 with the ability to monitor BP, ECG, Activity and Temp and 32 that monitor ECG, Activity and Temp? A: The numbers of transmitters are correct. All telemeters should be able to measure ECG, Heart rate, Blood Pressure, Core Body Temperature, and Activity. Q: Will surgeries be done by in house staff? A: Surgeries will be performed in house. Q: Will the data be collected continuously or for discreet periods? A: The data will be collected both continuously and for discreet periods. Q: If for discreet periods, what is the expected frequency and duration of the data collection period? A: Data should be collected every ten (10) minutes and the duration long enough to acquire all the required data. Q: What is the expected length of time the device is to be implanted? A: Six (6) months. Q: What is the required update rate for each of the data channels? ? [We don't understand the question] Q: What are the size and weight limits for the devices? A: The devices must be of a size to safely implant into a 2.0 kg non-human primate. Q: What means of attachment, if any, need to be provided on the device? A: Jackets and collars are not acceptable methods of attachment. Q: Are there to be 16 separate work stations or can there be one that collects the data from all 16 telemetry systems? A: One workstation is ideal. Q: If one work station is acceptable, does it need to be capable of displaying all 16 at one time or just recording? A: The workstation should be capable of displaying data on one individual at any given time, while recording data on all individuals. Q: How many ECG probes are to be used per subject? A: Lead II ECG capability configuration. Q: Are there any required specifications for the sensors themselves A: None other than those described in the original project description. Administrative Questions: Is there an official form other than our quote that we need to fill out to place our bid? No If this is an open bid do we have the opportunity to demonstrate our products This acquisition is being processed as Full and Open Competition. No demonstrations are required.
