- This is not a request for either a quote or proposal. The intent of this pre-solicitation synopsis is to identify potential offerors to perform services for five outdoor pools, including one wading pool. The proposed contractor will provide sufficient material, labor, equipment, supervision, and transportation to fulfill all requirements of the contract in accordance with industry standards. The contractor will be required to winterize the pool at the end of the pool season and prepare each pool for the beginning of the normal pool season. Types of work include, but are not limited to, removing items into storage, installing pool covers, adjusting ph, shocking the pools, cleaning and removing debris from covers and surrounding pool areas, maintaining water level, operating robotic crawlers, lubricating ladder anchors, installing pool ladders, draining the pools, cleaning pool liners and cleaning gutters. Camp Lejeune is located in Jacksonville, Onslow County, North Carolina. Complete, detailed specifications will be provided with the solicitation. The NAICS Code for this procurement is 561790 the annual size standard is $7,000,000. The proposed contract listed here is set-aside 100 % for small businesses. The Government plans on awarding a FFP contract with a base period of one (1) year plus four (4) option years as a result of the solicitation. The total term of the contract, including all options, will not exceed 60 months. In certain circumstances, the Government may require the Contractor to continue performance for an additional period up to six (6) months under the Option to Extend Services clause. In either case, the Government will not synopsize the options when exercised. This is a new procurement. It does not replace an existing contract. Offerors can view and/or download the solicitation at www.neco.navy.mil and www.fedbizopps.gov/ when it becomes available. The solicitation will be available on or about 1 October 2009. The estimated date for receipt of proposals is on or about 23 October 2009. The solicitation will be available in electronic format only.
