Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared to satisfy a requirement of the US Geological Survey, National Wildlife Health Center, Madison, WI. This announcement is prepared in accordance with the Simplified Acquisition procedures in FAR 13 and the format in subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. 09ERQQ0707 is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ) and is due by 1300 hours CST, 17 September 2009. This solicitation is offered for unrestricted competition under NAICS code 334516 with a small business size standard of 500 employees. This RFQ and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-36. CLIN 0001 Quantity 90 each. AVIAN INFLUENZA/NEWCASTLE DISEASE VIRAL RNA ISOLATION KIT, 96-WELL. APPLIED BIOSYSTEMS 1835 MAGMAX-96 OR EQUAL. Must be compatible for use with biological fluids and cell-free samples such as serum, plasma, swabs, and cell culture media. Must be compatible with real-time qRT-PCR. Must not require organic solvents or RNA precipitation. Must be validated by the NVSL for use with AI/ND viruses. Must be able to recover as few as 20 viral RNA copies from 50 l sample. Must be easily integrated into robotic platforms. Quantity is not to exceed 90 each during the ordering period 09/21/09 through 09/20/10. Government is not required to order 90 each during the ordering period; this is an estimated quantity. If price is not FOB Destination to Madison, WI 53711, please quote shipping charges separately. PARTIES INTERESTED IN RESPONDING TO THIS RFQ may submit their quote in accordance with standard commercial practice (i.e. quote form, letterhead, etc.) and MUST INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION: Solicitation number, offeror's complete mailing and remittance addresses, price, discount terms, DUNS number, and Tax Identification Number. In accordance with FAR 52.212-1(k), prospective awardee shall be registered and active in the CCR database prior to award. If the Offeror does not become registered in the CCR database in the time prescribed by the Contracting Officer (NLT due date/time of solicitation), the Contracting Officer will proceed to award to the next otherwise successful registered Offeror.
