Description
THIS IS A PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE - The VA Midwest Healthcare Network has a requirement for contractor to provide Therapeutic Apheresis Services at the Minneapolis VA Medical Center. The NAICS code assigned to this procurement will be 621492 with a size standard of $34.5 million. Contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment and disposable to supplies to perform the required services. Therapeutic apheresis services involves the withdrawal of anticoagulated whole blood from a patient via peripheral or central venous access, its diversion into a cell separator where the components are separated by differential centrifugation, removal of the abnormal blood fraction (cells or plasma) and subsequent replacement with an appropriate substitute. Offers will be evaluated on past performance, technical approach, and price. Procurement is being made in accordance with FAR Parts 12 Commercial Item and 15 Negotiated Contracts. The solicitation will contain requirements for a 12-month base year with four (4) 12-month options to renew. Service will begin October 1, 2009 (or date of award) through September 30, 2010 for Base Year. The solicitation is scheduled to be issued on or about August 5, 2009 and will be issued via Fed Biz Opps Electronic Posting System at http://www.fedbizopps.gov.
