Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. The solicitation number is VA-261-09-RQ-0256 and is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received prior to 9/15/09 will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. This equipment has features specific to the manufacturer. Integrating a Q-Switched frequency-doubled 532 nm laser for SLT into the Selecta platform creates the Selecta Duet. This configuration expands treatment options for the anterior segment, which include Selective Laser Trabeculoplasty for open-angle glaucoma. Two procedures, one laser system.
