- Description
- In compliance with the transparency and accountability requirements associated with the supplemental appropriations provided by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (the 'Act'), Public Law 111-5, this notice is provided for INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY. The Department of Interior, U.G. Geological Survey (USGS), intends to issue Task Order G09PD01814 under established Indefinite Delivery-Indefinite Quantity contract number 08CRCN0053 awarded to Synergetics Incorporated. The project described below is within scope of the existing contract, which was originally awarded on a competitive basis. THIS OPPORTUNITY IS AVAILABLE ONLY TO THE INCUMBANT CONTRACTOR. The Task Order issued against aforementioned contract is as follows: Contract/Order # G09PD01814, fixed price level of effort dollar value of this action is $116,828.00. This type of task order is selected because the order is for the conduct of basic and applied research on NEIC-related earthquake response systems, modeling large (M7 or greater), potentially destructive earthquakes, using both moment tensor and finite fault approaches. Period of Performance is one year from task order award and Place of Performance is flexible, both on-site (USGS facility in Golden Colorado) and off-site (contractor facility). The contractor shall define subduction source seismic interfaces with novel techniques combining i) existing relocated earthquake catalogs, ii) Global CMT geometries and moments, ii) active seismic profiles available in the literature, iv) trench bathymetry and other data sources. Integrate results into a global 3-D subduction slab geometry model to better understand and characterize these seismic source zones. Funding for requirements to be completed by the contractor will utilize funds provided by the Act. Inclusion of unique provisions required to implement the Act, including those for significant reporting and transparency requirements, is required. (ATN #ARRA-SE0001C.1 TAS 14 0803)
