- I.INTRODUCTION. A. This is a sole source notice for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Parts 12.6 and 13, as supplemented with additional information in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are not being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. B. The reference number is: TARRES16509 C. This document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-36, Effective 10 September 2009. D.This is not a small business set aside. The NAICS code applicable to this acquisition is 333314 corresponding to a small business size standard of 500 employees. E.Basis for award The US Army TACOM Contracting Command intends to solicit and negotiate with one contractor. Award will be made on a sole source basis to one contractor. The statutory authority permitting other than full and open competition is 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), FAR 6.302-1, Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, any proposal received within (1) day of the issuance of this notice will be considered by the government. A determination by the government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. F.This acquisition is not rated under the Defense Priorities and Allocation System (DPAS). II.GENERAL. The United States Army Tank and Automotive Research, Development and Engineering Center (TARDEC) in Warren, Michigan has a requirement to purchase 1. (1) Silver SC5600 ExaminIR Max Camera System (Pkg. 250 SC56MBFWSGIG Low_Cal_InSb 24796-200) 2. (1) L0515 12mm F/3 (45x36 degree) Lense for Silver SC5000 Series 3. (1) L0309 100mm F/3 (5.5x4.4 degree) Lense for Silver SC5000 Series 4. Total price shall include cost to ship to TACOM- Warren. A. B.Submittal Instructions TACOM reserves the right to seek clarification on any aspect of your inquiry. C.All inquiries shall be submitted electronically to Amanda Neef at amanda.neef@us.army.mil.
