- The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Eagle Compressors, Inc., Greensboro, North Carolina 27406, under the authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source Available. The FBI requires one (1) EagleAir Baron 3, is manufactured by Eagle Compressors and the specifications are as follows: •6000 PSI minimum operating pressure •Three (3) fill stations •Carbon Monoxide monitor •Charge rate of greater than 20 SCFM •HI/LOW/SCUBA fill capability •Bank of four (4) master air reservoirs *must be ASME Coded Cylinders (525 cu ft storage @ 6000 psi) •Remote fill capability •Compressor motor MUST operate on 208V, 3-phase power •Minimum fill capability of 25 cfm •Delivery and installation of all system components at buyer’s location •Two (2) eight-hour days (weekdays) of start-up training conducted by a factory technician Based on extensive market research conducted with knowledgeable individuals in Government and the related industry, only the EagleAir Baron 3 compressor operates on 208v, 3-phase power and has a minimum fill capability of 25 cfm. This Notice of Intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, interested parties may identify their interests and capability to respond to this requirement or submit quotes to this office by 12:00 PM, EST, Monday, September 21, 2009, to the attention of Lisa R. Jackson at lisa.jackson@ic.fbi.gov. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determine whether to conduct a competitive procurement. This contract will be award in part as a commercial item in accordance with FAR Part 12. all contractors anticipating award must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration database (www.ccr.gov).
