Description

The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD), Air Test and Evaluation Squadron HX-21 has a procurement requirement for the MH-60S aircraft which includes: 1-Slip Ring and Brush Block Assembly, Part No. W12-16-100; 1-Brush Block Assembly, Part No. W8-14-102-3; 1 – Brush Block Assembly, Part No. W8-14-102-4; 100-Brush Leaf Assemblies, Part No. W40-3-104-7 and 100-Brush Leaf Assemblies, Part No. W20-105-2. Due to the unique nature of the equipment and operational compatibility issues, the Government intends to negotiate on an other than full and open competitive basis with Wendon Company under statutory authority 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c)(1) as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) part 6.302-1, that only one responsible source and no other services or supplies will satisfy the agency requirements. The award is to be made under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination not to compete this proposed contract, based on the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
