Description

Justification and Approval for Other Than Full and Open Compeition THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. This is a notice of intent to award a sole source contract under tatutory authority 10 USC 2304(c)(1), set forth in Federal Acquisition Regulation 6.302-1, "Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. " The Air Force 744th Communications Squadron requires the purchase of Model Series 8775-7-XXX Monochrome ½” Cameras 4910. The Air Force Distric of Washington intends to make award to COHU Inc. 12367 Crosthwaite Circle, Poway CA 92064. The NAICS code is 334220. Interest parties may e-mail patricia.thomas@afncr.af.mil not later than Sunday 20 September 2009, 11:00 am EST. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested pesons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competetive proposals. However all proposals received within two days after date of publication of this synopsis will be consided by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice soley within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competetive procurement. DEMONSTRATION THAT THE CONTRACTOR'S UNIQUE QUALIFICATIONS OR NATURE OF THE ACQUISITION REQUIRES THE USE OF THE AUTHORITY CITED ABOVE (APPLICABILITY OF AUTHORITY) The COHU 4910 series provides constant visual assessment of high priority areas. It provids 100% visual assessment and aids the tracking of intruders. There are few types of cameras authorized for use in the proteciton of PL-1 Non-Nuclear Assests.
