- Request for Quotation This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation is issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ). This document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect for Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-36. This acquisition is unrestricted. //Schedule of items: This requirement is for equipment only for our Public Address Mass Notification System. // Please see attached Request for Quotation for listing of equipment being requested. //NOTE: This requirement is for planning purposes only and may or may not be funded. Please ensure that your quotations are valid until 30 September 2009. The equipment listed is for Brand Name or Equal. All equipment must interface and be compatible with our current system. Currently we are using Monaco D-21 Incident Management System. If submitting an or equal please provide all necessary specifications and technical documentation so that the government can make an accurate comparison. // In accordance with FAR 25.1002 (b) offers is other than US Currency will be converted to US Currency using the exchange rate at www.xe.com the day that quotes are closed. // The clause at FAR 52.204-7 Central Contractor Registration applies to this solicitation // The provisions at FAR 52.211-6 “Brand Name or Equal” applies to this solicitation //The provisions at FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors--Commercial Items applies to this solicitation. //The provisions at FAR 52.212-2 Evaluation _ Commercial Items applies to this solicitation. The evaluation criteria to be included in paragraph (a) of the provision are i) Price ii) Technical capability of offered item to meet the Government’s needs.
