- Description
- The NASA/SSC Office of Procurement intends to issue a Best Value Request forProposal (RFP) for the transportation of 32 Gaseous Nitrogen Storage Vessels to betransported from Paola, Kansas to John C. Stennis Space Center, Mississippi. The workfor this requirement consists of, but is not limited to the following: providing theappropriate equipment and transportation vehicle needed to deliver 32 Gaseous Nitrogen(GN) Storage Vessels to the A3 construction site at John C. Stennis Space Center inHancock County, MS. FOB is destination. This requirement is intended to be 100% set aside to Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned SmallBusinesses using Commercial Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP) in accordance withFAR Parts 12 and 13. Therefore, responses shall be restricted to Service-DisabledVeteran-Owned Small Businesses. It is anticipated that only one award will be made forthis requirement, and any resulting award shall be made in the form of a Fixed Firm PriceContract. The estimated period of performance for deliveries of the GN Bottles Vesselsis 365 days from the effective date of contract award. The DPAS Rating for this procurement is DO-C9.The NAICS Code and Small Business SizeStandard are 484230 and $25.5 mil, respectively. All responsible SDVOSB sources maysubmit a proposal, which shall be considered by this agency. The Government reserves theright to award to other than the low offeror on this "Best Value" procurement. Theevaluation factors for this procurement will include Past Performance, Price, Technicaland Schedule. Anticipated issue date of subject RFP is on or about October 2, 2009 withan anticipated due date of October 23, 2009.All contractual and technical questions must be submitted in writing on or about October9, 2009, to Sonia.rushing-1@nasa.gov.Telephone questions will not be accepted. Thefirm date for receipt of written questions and proposal due date will be stated in thesubsequent RFP. The RFP and any related documents will only be issued electronically and will beavailable via the internet.
