Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for a commercial service/supplies prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6. This synopsis/solicitation is a Request for Quotation (RFQ), RFQ-09-0323, being issued by the Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP), Office of Acquisition Equipment and Services Division with intent to procure 52 plastic pallets (with an option for an additional 52) in accordance to the attached Pallet Requirements document. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-31 effective on April 20, 2009. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation, quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 325211 with an industry size standard of 100 employees. The selected Offeror must comply with the following commercial item terms and conditions. FAR 52.223-3 Hazardous Material Identification, FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors - Commercial, applies to this acquisition. FAR 52.212-2, Evaluation-Commercial Items The selected Offeror must submit a completed copy of the provision at 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications - Commercial Items. FAR 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions - Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition and the following clauses: 52.222-21, 52.222-26, 52.222-35, 52.222-36, 52.222-37, 52.225-13, and 52.232-34. The full text of the above referenced FAR clauses may be accessed electronically at http://www.acqnet.gov/far. 52.212-2 EVALUATION--COMMERCIAL ITEMS JAN 1999 (a) The Government will award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible Offeror whose offer conforming to the solicitation will be most advantageous to the Government, price and other factors considered. The evaluation criteria will be based on lowest price technically acceptable. Offerors responding to this solicitation must be registered with the Central Contractor Registration (CCR). Also interested firms are requested to submit a written quotation, which will be considered by the BEP. Quotes shall be submitted no later than 9:00 AM, EST September 28, 2009 to the attention of Richard Hutchinson.
