- Description
- Provide all labor, materials, tools, equipment and supervision to provide Design/Build Services for Nursing Home/Community Living Center (NH/CLC), Project 557-372, at the VA Medical Center, Dublin, GA, in accordance with design program, conceptual drawings and specifications. Work includes complete design-build services for the design and construction required to relocate and consolidate two nursing home/community living center bed wards and implement cultural transformation concepts. The new NH/CLC will consist of Bldg 8A renovated space and the new construction addition, will house fifty-six beds, forty single-resident rooms and eight double occupancy rooms and will incorporate cultural transformation concepts which create a support space in a residential, home-like setting for veterans. Cost range is between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000. NAICS Code 236220 Commercial and Institutional Building Contractors and size standard $33.5 million applies. The solicitation package and drawings should be available for download on or about 4/6/09. Proposals submitted in response to this solicitation will be evaluated in accordance with the following factors: 1. Cost; 2. Construction Management including corporate project experience, personnel experience, technical/management approach; 3. Past performance; and 4. Schedule. All technical factors when combined are equal in importance to cost or price. No hard copies of the solicitation or drawings will be provided. All responsible sources may submit a bid which shall be considered by DVA. This procurement is subject to the availability of funds. This procurement is set aside for service-disabled veteran-owned small businesses. A pre-proposal meeting and site visit is scheduled for April 21, 2009, at 10:00 a.m. in Building 29, Engineering Conference Room, at the VAMC, 1826 Veterans Blvd., Dublin, GA.
